First day in Edinburgh

We took the train from Wales to Edinburgh, and we saw lots of sheep, cows and rolling hills of greenery along the way. After dropping our luggage off at the B&B, we set off to explore the city. We walked around the outside of Edinburgh Castle (which we planned to check out the next day), and visited St. Giles Cathedral. On the way home, we happened upon a scary gothic looking monument which turned out to be in honour of Sir Walter Scott the Scot (famous writer/poet+?historian?). Christina only made it up to the midway point (before hyperventilating and being overtaken by vertigo), while manly Stephen braved the narrowing staircase all the way up to the top - 287 steps.
Go Sens go (3-0)!!
