Paris day deux

Today the weather finally looked like it was going to cooperate. We started out exploring the Catacombs (basically a big graveyard under Paris housing the bones of 7million people). That was very cool (Christina says scary). As we were leaving, we had our bags searched because someone had tried stealing some bones that morning! Steve also managed to bonk his head for the second time this trip on a concrete spiral staircase, doh. Afterwards, we headed to the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower, stopping on the way at a cafe for another cheese platter and some rose wine -- this is when the rain started again. Stephen convinced Christina to start going up the Eiffel Tower, but unfortunately only got her to the first level... wait, has this happened before?? Dinner was paninis and crepes -- simple but yummy!

Hours of walking: 6

Entrance to the ossuary
Scary deadheads
Just ridiculous (and scary)
A nice little garden we walked through
Arc de Triomphe (the big one)
Cheeeeeese!
Pair of posing tourists
Eiffel Tower in ominous clouds
Poor Christina

maybe it's c's turn to choose an activity that doesn't induce a) vertigo or b) nightmares...

I suspect christina has been in charge of choosing the cheese-related activities! :)
